“I love the way he feels. He told us that he's smiling, he's happy that he feels healthy,” Courier dijo en Tennis Channel.

“The next step for him is to shake a little bit of that big match rust. That was on display last night.

No question that he didn't perform in that match tiebreak the way he did at Roland Garros in the match tiebreak for the championship against Jannik Sinner.”

“Of course, Shelton had a lot to do with that with his serve and his weaponry.

But for him, he needs to find that extra gear on his serve. That's the one thing that we did not see at the US Open.

We did not see serves 137, 130. It was 127, 128 at the top end, so he's missing a gear there.

We'll see if that's just a psychological barrier he has to get by or if he actually has something still happening in his wrist that's preventing that.”

“Little by little, I improved, and I finished the match serving at a very high level,” dijo Alcaraz.

“I increased the speed and the percentage, and I felt more and more comfortable with the motion, the fluidity and the ball toss.

I'm honestly very happy that I was able to improve it during the match. At least now we know what we need to work on for the next one.”

“The serve is a really good weapon in these kind of situations,” dijo Alcaraz. “It's an unknown if you are going to play the point or if he's going to get a free point with the serve.”

“In the fifth set I just started to feel better and better,” explicó después de los cuartos de final.

“But you know, I was playing against one of the... He is a beast. Shelton is an unbelievable player, powerful. He just managed to play really, really well in every situation, so credit to him.

But, you know, I leave the court happy. I leave the court with a smile, healthy, and this is what I needed.”

“I'm just not going to be disappointed about not getting the win at the end,” afirmó. “You know, I'm just happy. I'm just proud about myself, about how I fought.”
